Emergent statistics show how fast an AI app builder can grow when investors keep writing checks.
The vibe coding startup, built by brothers Mukund and Madhav Jha, publicly launched around mid-2025, said it passed $100 million in ARR within eight months, and raised a $130 million Series C at a $1.5 billion valuation in July 2026.
It reports more than 12 million apps built, 200,000 paying customers, and about 70% of users with no coding background.

Treat the ARR, user, and customer numbers as company claims. TechCrunch said it did not independently verify the February figures.
Emergent ARR and revenue
Here is the ARR path as reported, with the source for each step:
| Date | Reported ARR | Source |
|---|---|---|
| About 90 days after launch (Sep 2025) | $15M | Emergent’s Series C post |
| December 2025 | $25M | Emergent’s Series C post |
| January 2026 | $50M | Emergent, via TechCrunch (Jan 20, 2026) |
| February 17, 2026 | $100M+ (“doubled in the past month”) | Emergent, via TechCrunch and Business Wire |
| July 15, 2026 | About $120M | Founder Mukund Jha, via The Next Web |
In its January 2026 funding coverage, TechCrunch reported a target of more than $100 million by April 2026. The company said it beat that in February.
Why the ARR numbers need a second look
The jump from $50 million to $100 million in one month is the claim most worth questioning. ARR is a run-rate, so a short burst of sign-ups can inflate it, and TechCrunch said the figures were company claims. SiliconANGLE’s July 2026 coverage did not report ARR at all.
The later number adds to the puzzle. Startup Fortune, citing TechCrunch, described the July figure of $120 million as up 70% in four months. By my arithmetic, 70% growth to $120 million implies roughly $70 million four months earlier, which sits well below the $100 million claimed in February.
Either the earlier figure was a peak that did not hold, the 70% figure is wrong, or the figures were measured differently. I could not resolve this from public sources, and Startup Fortune notes that questions persist about how Emergent calculates its growth.
For publishing, the safest wording is “Emergent says it reached $100 million in ARR in February 2026” and “the founder put run-rate revenue at about $120 million in July 2026.”
Sacra estimated roughly $667 in annualized revenue per paying customer in February 2026 ($100 million divided by 150,000). On the July numbers ($120 million divided by 200,000) it comes to about $600, which is my own calculation. Sacra’s page also shows obvious data errors, including a wrong CEO name and a founding year of 1998, so I used it sparingly.
Funding and valuation
| Round | Amount | Date | Investors |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seed | $7M | 2024 | Y Combinator, Together Fund |
| Series A | $23M | September 2025 | Lightspeed |
| Strategic | Undisclosed | December 2025 | Google AI Futures Fund |
| Series B | $70M | January 2026 | SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Khosla Ventures (also Prosus, Lightspeed, Together, Y Combinator, per TechCrunch) |
| Series C | $130M | July 15, 2026 | Creaegis (lead); co-leads MNI Ventures (Claypond Capital) and Sentinel Global; Khosla, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, Y Combinator |
Emergent’s own announcement puts total funding at $230 million, which matches the sum of the four disclosed rounds ($7M plus $23M plus $70M plus $130M).
Valuation moved from about $100 million before the Series B, to about $300 million after it in January 2026, to $1.5 billion in July 2026. The $300 million figure came from sources with knowledge of the deal, per TechCrunch, so it is reported rather than confirmed.
TechCrunch’s January article also said total funding was $100 million, which does not match its own $93 million sum of the Series A and B, so avoid that figure.
Emergent user statistics
| Milestone | Users | Date | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| About 90 days after launch | 1M+ | September 2025 | Emergent’s Series C post |
| Year-end 2025 | 2.5M | December 2025 | Emergent’s Series C post |
| January 2026 | 5M+ | Jan 2026 | Emergent, via TechCrunch |
| February 2026 | 6M+ | Feb 17, 2026 | Emergent press release |
| August 2026 | 10M+ across 190 countries | Aug 2026 | Interview summary attributed to Jha |
The 10 million figure comes from an August 2026 interview write-up by Silicon Valley Invest Club, not a press release, and it is paraphrased rather than quoted. The Series C coverage did not give a total user number. One site also lists 1.5 million to 2 million monthly active users, but it names no source, so I left it out.
Paying customers grew from about 150,000 in February 2026 to 200,000 in July 2026, both company-provided. Emergent has not shared a retention or churn figure.
Apps built
Emergent reported 1.5 million apps within 90 days of launch, over 7 million by February 2026, and more than 12 million by July 2026. The July number came from CEO Mukund Jha, speaking to SiliconANGLE. An “app” counts any project created on the platform, so it says more about activity than about live products.
In February, the company said more than 10,000 mobile apps had been built through its early-access mobile app, which publishes to the App Store and Google Play.
Who uses Emergent
- About 70% of users have no prior coding experience, according to Jha, in both February and July 2026.
- About 40% of users are small businesses, according to Jha (February 2026).
- More than half of customers use Emergent for software that is critical to their business, per Jha in July 2026. Users estimate average development savings of about $83,000, a company-provided figure that SiliconANGLE did not verify.
- Revenue by region: In February 2026, TechCrunch reported the US and Europe made up about 70% of revenue, with India the next-largest and fastest-growing market. A July report from Startup Fortune put roughly one-third of revenue in North America, one-third in Europe, and about 8% to 9% in India. That July split was not attributed to a source.
- Reach: The company says users are in 190 countries.
Team size
TechCrunch reported 75 employees, 70 of them in Bengaluru, in January 2026, with San Francisco as the company’s stated headquarters.
Startup Fortune reported roughly 200 people, mostly in Bengaluru, in July 2026, without naming a source. Treat the second figure as an estimate. Emergent has not published a current headcount.
Emergent pricing in 2026
These prices come from Emergent’s pricing page on October 20, 2026:
| Plan | Monthly price | Credits | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 free monthly credits | Core features, advanced models, one-click LLM integration |
| Standard | $20 per month ($17 with annual billing, likely) | 100 per month; extra credits can be bought | Web and mobile app building, private project hosting, GitHub integration |
| Pro | $200 per month ($167 with annual billing, likely) | 750 monthly credits | 1M context window, custom AI agents, system prompt editing, priority support |
| Business | Custom | Not listed | Role-based access control, SSO, shared workspaces, co-editing |
| Enterprise | Custom | Not listed | Audit logs, self-hosted database support, priority SLA, VPC deployment |
The page labels the two prices for Standard and Pro only as “Annual,” so the lower number is probably the annual-billing rate. The savings it shows ($36 and $396) match that reading, but the page does not say it outright. Sacra estimates most paying customers spend about $25 to $50 per month.
Emergent traffic and reviews
Similarweb showed these readings for September 2026:
| Metric | Reading |
|---|---|
| Monthly visits | About 5.9M (not clearly labeled on the page) |
| Global rank | #8,409 |
| Average visit duration | 4 minutes 47 seconds |
| Pages per visit | 4.99 |
| Bounce rate | 35.32% |
India led desktop traffic, followed by the United States, Italy, Indonesia, and Brazil. The page showed two unlabeled percentages per country, so I am not publishing shares. These are third-party estimates, not company data.
Trustpilot showed 2.8 out of 5 from 651 reviews on October 20, 2026, with 586 posted in the past 12 months. About 37% were five stars and 49% were one star, with few in the middle.
The newest review was dated October 18, 2026. Trustpilot reviews skew toward strong opinions, and 651 is small next to millions of accounts, but a split like this suggests a product some people love and others find frustrating.
How Emergent compares with other AI app builders
| Tool | Last reported ARR | Date | Source type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emergent | About $120M | July 2026 | Founder, via TNW |
| Base44 | $200M+ | August 2026 | Founder post, via CTech |
| Lovable | About $500M | June 2026 | Self-reported, per ValueAdd VC |
| Replit | About $265M | End of 2025 | Aggregated estimate, per ValueAdd VC |
Dates differ by months, so this is not a like-for-like race. Emergent’s distinctive angles are a fast-growing user base from a small team, a push into native mobile app building, and a large engineering base in India. If you want to track the established players, we cover Lovable’s numbers and Replit’s statistics in their own posts.
Emergent statistics that deserve a second look
1. ARR claims are company-reported and do not fully reconcile. See the section above.
2. The user count is a paraphrase. The 10 million figure comes from an interview summary, and Emergent has not published a matching press-release number.
3. “Apps built” measures activity. A project created and abandoned counts the same as one that runs a business.
4. Reviews are polarized. Nearly half of Trustpilot reviews are one star.
5. Several figures lack a date. The 190 countries and 70% no-code figures appear in multiple articles without a stated measurement date.
6. Headcount and margins are not disclosed. Per Sacra, the company says gross margins are improving, with no percentage given.
What these statistics mean if you build with Emergent
- For prototypes and small-business tools, the free and Standard tiers are a low-cost way to test an idea, and the 70% no-code figure suggests many users are in the same position.
- For mobile apps, the iOS and Android builder is a distinctive feature, but it launched into testing in February 2026, so check what works today.
- For credit planning, track how fast credits go during a real project before choosing a tier.
- For anything with customer data, have a developer review the generated code. If that is your situation, a team that does custom web application development can take over where the AI draft ends.
