Base44 Statistics 2026: ARR, Users, Wix Deal, Traffic and Pricing

Base44 statistics read like a typo at first glance. The AI app builder started as a side project, sold to Wix for about $80 million in June 2025 with eight employees, and its founder says it passed $200 million in ARR in August 2026.

Wix itself confirmed $100 million in March 2026 and about $150 million in May 2026, which makes this one of the best-documented growth stories among vibe coding tools, because a public company put the numbers in its earnings releases.

ARR means annual recurring revenue, a run-rate based on current subscriptions. It is not the same as revenue booked in a year, and some sites mix the two up.

August 20, 2026$200M+Founder Maor Shlomo’s post, reported by CTech

Wix’s CEO said the $100 million mark arrived “just one year after its founding and 9 months after our acquisition.”

CTech reported on August 20, 2026 that Base44 hit $100 million about five months before the $200 million announcement and added roughly $50 million of ARR after Wix disclosed its $150 million run rate in May.

Two cautions. The $200 million figure comes from the founder’s own post, not a Wix filing, and Wix’s Q2 2026 release did not give an ARR number. And the earliest two lines come from a data aggregator that cites social posts, so treat them as rough.

Margins are the other half of the story

Fast ARR is only useful if the business keeps some of it. Wix said in its August 4, 2026 results that Base44 had “near-zero non-GAAP gross margin entering the year” and expects about 60% in the second half of 2026.

The company credited Base 1, Base44’s own large language model, with giving it more control over compute and inference costs, which Wix calls the largest cost driver for AI-native businesses.

Earlier, in November 2025, Wix said its full-year non-GAAP gross margin guidance was 68% to 69%, reflecting higher AI costs from stronger Base44 demand and usage.

Its 2026 free cash flow margin outlook of low- to mid-20% (March 2026) is also below the roughly 30% projected for 2025 (November 2025), which management tied to Base44’s growth and investment.

TechCrunch reported that Base44 reached 10,000 users in its first three weeks and launched publicly about six months before the sale, with no exact launch date given.

CTech reported in August 2026 that Wix disclosed an extra $41 million payout to founder Maor Shlomo after performance milestones, bringing his proceeds above $150 million.

I could not find that figure in the Wix Q2 release text I read, so confirm it against Wix’s filings before quoting it.

Wix described the 2 million figure as about seven times the user base when the deal closed, per CTech’s coverage of the November 2025 results.

Wix has not published a newer user count in the Q4 2025, Q1 2026, or Q2 2026 releases I read. The 10 million figure circulating online comes from Sacra without a stated source, so label it as an estimate.

Two other Wix-reported points help explain the growth. Wix said Base44’s share of AI application builders, measured with Similarweb data, rose from low single digits in June 2025 to more than 10% by October 2025. And in Q1 2026, Wix said new user cohort bookings rose almost 50% year over year, with the CFO crediting a meaningful contribution from Base44.

Wix also reports 6.11 million total premium subscriptions at the end of 2025, a figure that includes Base44 but does not break it out.

Base44 traffic and audience

Traffic tools gave unclear readings when I checked, so read this section as rough context:

MetricSimilarweb (September 2026)
Monthly visitsAbout 14M (not clearly labeled on the page)
Global rank#3,479
Average visit duration6 minutes 29 seconds
Pages per visit5.08
Bounce rate41.73%

The Similarweb page listed the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Canada as top countries. It showed two unlabeled percentages for each, so I am not publishing shares.

Semrush’s public page showed “19.72M traffic” with no time period, and a US rank of #2647. Those two readings do not match, and neither is a company figure, so do not treat either as a precise visit count.

Base44 pricing in 2026

These prices come from Base44’s own pricing page on October 20, 2026. They are billed annually, and the page says annual billing saves 20%.

PlanPrice per month (annual billing)Message credits per monthIntegration credits per monthNotes
Free$025100Up to 5 apps
Starter$161002,000Unlimited apps, code edits, custom domain, one free domain for a year

Pro$8050020,000Early access to beta features
Elite$1601,20050,000Premium support
EnterpriseCustomCustomCustomContact sales

The page does not list monthly-billing prices. An independent consultancy, Base44Devs, says an April 2025 archive showed $20, $50, $100, and $200 for the paid tiers, which fits the 20% annual discount. Confirm current monthly prices in the app.

Base44Devs also reports, from archived pricing pages, that the free plan’s daily message cap fell from 7 to 5 by September 2025 and its integration credits dropped from 500 to 100. That firm sells audit and migration services, so weigh its framing, but the free plan numbers above match the live page.

Product milestones that shaped the numbers

  • Base 1: Base44’s own large language model, which Wix says makes it the first app-creation platform to launch one. A June 29, 2026 changelog entry added it to AI chat, per Base44Devs.
  • Superagents and Figma-to-Base44: Both were cited in Wix’s Q1 2026 release.
  • Wix integrations: Wix-billed workspaces can buy certain Elite plans, and Wix store products can be managed in the app editor, according to Base44’s product changelog as summarized by Base44Devs.
  • More recent launches: Wix’s press page lists native Google Ads campaign management (September 9, 2026) and Base Code (September 28, 2026) as headlines. I did not find details beyond those titles.

Base44 statistics that deserve a second look

1. Trustpilot is split down the middle. Trustpilot showed 2.8 out of 5 from 917 reviews on October 20, 2026, with 768 in the past 12 months. About 34% of reviews were five stars and 54% were one star, with very few in between. The newest review was dated October 16, 2026. Review sites attract strong opinions, and the sample is small next to millions of users, but a split like this usually means the product delights some people and frustrates others.

2. Revenue figures mix up ARR and revenue. One aggregator lists $150 million as “annual revenue.” Wix called it ARR, which is a run-rate.

3. A popular “Base44 statistics” page is not about this company. I found a page titled “Base44 Statistics 2026” on Gitnux that lists smart contract deployments, token supply, and DEX volume, with no source for any figure. It describes something else entirely, so do not use it for Base44, the AI builder.

4. User counts are stale. The last number Wix disclosed is from November 2025.

5. Margins rest on a forecast. The 60% gross margin is an expectation for the second half of 2026, not a result.

6. Headcount is unclear. The only confirmed figure is eight employees at the time of the sale. One data aggregator shows conflicting numbers, so I left it out.

What these statistics mean if you build with Base44

  • For prototypes and internal tools, the free and Starter tiers are a quick way to test an idea. Message credits run out faster than most people expect when you iterate.
  • For business use, read the terms and security pages. Base44Devs notes the contracting party in the terms moved to Wix.com Ltd. in late 2025, and that SSO enforcement, audit logs, and SLAs are Enterprise-only.
  • For cost planning, track credit use for a few weeks before you pick a tier, since credit prices vary by action and model.
  • For long-term projects, a successful prototype often needs engineering review before it handles real customer data. If that is you, a team that does custom web application development can take over from the AI draft.
