Relume is an Australian company that started as a component library for Webflow and Figma and now sells an AI site builder.
You describe a site, Relume generates a sitemap and wireframes using its library of human-designed components, and you export to Figma, Webflow or React.
It sits between a design tool and a website builder, so it gets compared with Framer, Webflow and Wix Studio.
Relume is private and bootstrapped, so there is no revenue or audited user data. The latest user figures I could source are from 2023, and the company’s own pages that I could load today gave only a couple of claims.

Relume Users and sites
- TechCrunch, August 22, 2023: About 54,000 users in total, with roughly 10,000 signing up in the two weeks after the AI feature launched. Retention was about 90%, per co-founder Dan Anisse.
- Relume press release, August 7, 2023: 41,000 users since the November 2021 launch, reached without outside investment. That is earlier than TechCrunch’s figure, which is why the two numbers differ.
- Customers named in the release: Landing pages built for Nike, Headspace, Jasper AI and Dapper Labs. Relume gave no breakdown of how these projects were built.
- Current homepage claim: Relume’s homepage description says “Build from the human-made component system behind 2M+ websites.” The page I could load showed only that metadata line, with no explanation of how “websites” is counted or when it was measured.
- Another claim, secondhand: A directory site cites “1M+ designers and developers using Relume” and says it came from Relume’s homepage. I could not find that wording on the page I loaded, and the directory itself marks its content as AI-assisted and contradicts itself on prices. I left it out of the table.
I found no official user count after 2023. Treat the 2M+ websites line as a marketing claim, not a measured figure.
Relume Funding and company
- Bootstrapped: Relume has had no outside investment since launching in November 2021 (press release, August 2023). TechCrunch said it turned down investment, was not seeking funding, and had not ruled out outside money later.
- Founded: 2020 in Sydney, Australia, with the product launching in November 2021, per a Harvard student case post published November 27, 2023. That post is a student submission built from other sources, so I would not cite the founding date without confirming it on Relume’s about page.
- Team: Seven people in August 2023 (TechCrunch), and six built the AI site builder (press release). I found no newer headcount.
- Revenue: Not disclosed anywhere I looked.
I found no funding round after 2023 in the sources I checked, so “bootstrapped” reflects August 2023.
Relume Product milestones
- November 2021: Product launched as a component library of 1,000+ reusable blocks for Webflow and Figma (TechCrunch, 2023).
- August 2023: AI site builder launched. A text prompt generates an editable sitemap, then a wireframe filled with library components, with a plug-in sync to Figma and Webflow. It used OpenAI’s model to interpret prompts (TechCrunch, Aug 22, 2023). Anisse said the AI handles about 70% of a project, leaving about 30% (style guide, fonts, colors, images) to the designer. That is his estimate, not a measurement.
- 2026: Relume’s site now lists a Library MCP (a connector that brings Relume components into an AI editor), a Claude Design export (a one-click move of a design system into Claude Design) and a React AI site builder. The pages I loaded had metadata only, with no launch dates or numbers, so I cannot date these.
- Domain: The old relume.io address now redirects to relume.ai.
Relume Pricing
Relume’s pricing has changed, so I list two snapshots. Always confirm on the current page.
Now (SaaS CRM Review, updated October 13, 2026; yearly billing; the reviewer may earn commissions through its links):
| Track | Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Publish | Free hosting | $0 | Relume badge, 1,500 page views and 20 form submissions a month |
| Publish | Launch hosting | $12 per site per month ($144 a year) | Custom domain, SSL, white label, unlimited forms, 6,000 page views |
| Publish | Pro (AI usage) | From $14 a month ($168 a year) | More AI usage and premium models |
| Export | Free | $0 | 1 project, 1 page, Figma export only |
| Export | Starter | $18 per user per month ($216 a year) | 1 project, 5 pages, Figma, Webflow and React export |
| Export | Pro | $40 per user per month ($480 a year) | Unlimited projects and pages |
| Export | Team | $36 per user per month, 3-person minimum | Pro features, team workspace, branded sharing |
| Enterprise | Custom | Quoted on request | Custom AI usage and volume |
Relume’s own pricing page description, which I could read, says building is free, hosting plans start at $14 a month per site, and collaboration has no per-seat cost.
That does not exactly match the review’s $12 yearly figure, so the $14 may be a monthly-billing price. I could not confirm that.
May 2024 (TechRadar review, May 30, 2024): Free had 30 Webflow components and one project. Starter was $32 per user per month billed yearly ($38 monthly), and Pro was $40 per user ($48 monthly). TechRadar called it “expensive as Webflow and Figma add-ons go,” while saying the features justify the price.
AI usage limits: The October 2026 reviewer reports that Relume uses no fixed credit or token count. In one test run, a full site on the Free plan took under four minutes and moved the usage meter to 29%. That is one run by one author, not a benchmark. The same review lists pending SOC 2 compliance as a limit.
Ratings
- G2: 4.5 out of 5, but from a single review dated April 28, 2026. G2 says there are not enough reviews to provide buying insight.
- Other review sites: I found a few third-party review aggregates, but none I could verify. I did not use them.
With this little review data, I would not use a rating to compare Relume with larger platforms.
How Relume compares
| Relume | Framer | Wix Studio | Duda | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Components plus AI wireframes, export or host | Visual site builder | Agency site builder | White-label builder |
| Outside funding | None known | $161 million total (Crunchbase, Aug 2025) | Part of public Wix | $100 million total (2021) |
| Share of all websites (W3Techs, Oct 2026) | Not listed | 0.2% | Wix overall 4.2% | 0.7% |
I did not find Relume in W3Techs’ list, so there is no independent share figure. Because Relume exports to Webflow and Figma, much of its output may show up under those platforms instead. That is an inference, not a measured fact.
If you are weighing a component-based workflow against a custom build, our website design service covers the custom route.
What the numbers suggest
- Relume is a small, bootstrapped product. Seven people, no outside money and 54,000 users in 2023 describe a lean company.
- The big numbers are claims. The 2M+ websites line has no stated method.
- Pricing is moving. The Starter export plan went from $32 a month yearly in May 2024 to $18 in the October 2026 review, though the two sources are different outlets.
- The product is shifting toward AI tools. The MCP connector and Claude Design export put Relume’s library inside other AI products.
- Independent data is thin. There are few reviews, no market share figure and no audited revenue.
FAQ
How many people use Relume?
The last verified figure is about 54,000 users in August 2023 (TechCrunch). Relume’s homepage claims its component system is behind 2M+ websites, with no method given.
Is Relume funded?
Not by outside investors as of August 2023. TechCrunch said it was bootstrapped. I found no later round.
How much does Relume cost?
An October 2026 review lists a free export plan, Starter at $18 per user per month billed yearly, Pro at $40 and Team at $36 per user, with hosting from $12 to $14 a month per site. Confirm on Relume’s site.
How many components does Relume have?
More than 1,000, per TechRadar in May 2024 and TechCrunch in 2023. I did not find a newer count.
Does Relume have an AI site builder?
Yes. It launched in August 2023 and generates sitemaps and wireframes from a prompt, with export to Figma, Webflow and React.
